Yesterday, on his YouTube channel, GabeFollower released a video analyzing the previous update in Counter-Strike 2. In the video, he dissected the update and also had a conversation with the creator of the Cache map.
Despite its small size, weighing only 7MB, he managed to find many interesting innovations. Additionally, he unveiled a glimpse of FMPONE's Cache remake.
Especially for the readers of our portal, we have gathered all the most interesting information from the video and will present it to you in a convenient format.
According to GabeFollower, there are already measures in the game to combat cheaters, which can counteract unfair play, such as not registering "too precise hits" or sending bullets in random directions when cheats are detected. However, Valve does not use these anti-cheat measures, most likely to gather a larger cheater database and obtain more data about them.
The creator of the de_cache map (FMPONE) shared his plan for creating the map:
The map will be created from scratch and will not use any textures or models from CS:GO.
To create this new map, over 2000 unique models are planned to be used. It is critically important to keep the overall size of the models within 2 gigabytes to ensure its acceptability on Steam Workshop. The development of the map will be oriented towards the 2013 competition version, featuring a dark design in the spirit of the new CS2 and including all Source 2 features. At the same time, it will incorporate certain stylistic elements from the 2019 remake.
