Rammus Changes in PBE Patch 25.12

In the new PBE patch, Rammus has received significant changes that revise his scaling, interaction with armor, and skill effectiveness in team fights. His role as a zone tank is now based not only on damage reflection but also on a new mechanic of enhancement through defensive stats.

Base Stats:

  • Attack Damage: 55 (+2.75 per level) → 65 (+3.0 per level)
  • Armor: 40 (+5.5 per level) → 35 (+4.5 per level)
  • Attack Speed: 0.656 → 0.700

Spiked Shell (Passive):

  • Rammus's auto-attacks no longer deal magic damage
  • [New]: Rammus gains additional attack damage equal to 15% of his armor and magic resistance

Powerball (Q):

  • Damage: 80–200 → 80–240

Defensive Ball Curl (W):

  • Reflected damage is no longer part of the passive and is now included in this ability
  • Reflected damage: 15 (+15% armor) → 15 (+10% armor, +10% magic resistance)
  • Bonus armor: 40 (+35–75%) → 25 (+35–65%)
  • Bonus magic resistance: 10 (+30–50%) → 25 (+35–65%)
  • Duration: 6 sec. → 7 sec.
  • [Removed]: Rammus can no longer extend the ability duration with auto-attacks

Frenzying Taunt (E):

  • [Removed]: Rammus no longer gains 20–40% attack speed during taunt or other abilities
  • [New]: Now deals 80–160 (+70% AP) magic damage to monsters upon activation

Soaring Slam (R - Ultimate):

  • Magic damage on landing: 100 / 175 / 250 → 150 / 250 / 350
  • Shockwave no longer deals 30 / 40 / 50 damage up to three times
  • Damage amplification in the center no longer depends on flight distance
  • Slow: 15% / 17.5% / 20% → 30% / 45% / 60%
  • Shockwave now refreshes the initial slow but no longer stacks
  • Maximum slow: 60% / 70% / 80% → 30% / 45% / 60%
  • Cooldown: 90 sec. → 120 / 100 / 80 sec.

Rammus has undergone a fundamental update that shifts some of his power from automatic reflections to the active use of defensive stats. He will be less effective on "auto-pilot," but with the new passive and updated skills, he can better adapt in prolonged fights and the jungle. Once the patch is released, it will become clear whether Rammus will find a new niche in the meta.
