Riot Games has unveiled details for the upcoming patch 25.S1.2 for League of Legends, emphasizing adjustments to Atakhan, domination runes, ADC items, and several other elements. The changes are aimed at balancing the meta and enhancing player interaction with new features.
Atakhan: More Frequency, Less Power
Developers noted that Voracious Atakhan appears in less than 15% of games, making it too rare. In the patch, it will appear more frequently, but its impact will be diminished to balance its effect on the game. Here are the changes expected for Atakhan in the new patch:
Summoners Rift Atakhna | Nerfs |
Voracious Atakhan | Withdraw "Kill" Reward: 100 + 1 Bloody Petal → 200 + 1 Bloody Petal |
More frequent (15% of games → 25% of games) | |
SWIFTPLAY Atakhan | ADJUSTMENTS |
Atakhan Side Select | Top more likely (40% of games → 50% of games) |
Ruinous Atakhan | More frequent (30% of games → 75% of games) |
Additionally, Riot Games addresses complaints from players calling it "too strong." However, the team wants to give players time to learn countermeasures, such as trading objectives and waiting. A nerf to Bloody Roses is also expected, as they aren’t a core element adding depth to gameplay.
Changes to Domination Runes
Players using runes from the Domination branch felt a reduction in power due to changes in minor runes. This branch will receive a boost in the patch, but not fully, to encourage players to explore other options, such as Sorcery or First Strike.
Grisly Mementos | Trinket Haste per Takedown: 4 → 6, Max Mementos: 25 (100 Haste) → 18 (108 Haste), Mode-based Summoner Haste: 2 → 3 |
Deep Ward | Trinket Duration Increase: 30-120 → 45-150 |
Sixth Sense | Melee CD: 300 → 275, Ranged CD: 360 → 350 |

Improvement of ADC Items and Tank Balancing
Amid discussions about the power of tanks, Riot Games plans to make ADCs more effective against them. Specifically, items like Yun Tal and Lord Dominic’s Regards will be enhanced for a clearer role in tank destruction. This will help differentiate this build compared to items like Collector, which focuses on damage to vulnerable targets.
Yun-Tal Wildarrows | Price: 2900 → 3000, Attack Speed: 25% → 35% |
Lord Dominik’s Regards | Price: 3000 → 3100, Armor Penetration: 35% → 40% |
Mortal Reminder | Price: 3200 → 3300, Armor Penetration: 30% → 35% |
Champion Buffs and Nerfs
Riot Games has made changes to the strength of some champions to balance their impact on the game.
Tahm Kench continues to perform well with a win rate above 50%, making him an annoying opponent. He will be slightly weakened in the patch.
Cassiopeia, not using Feats due to the lack of legs, received a preliminary buff that turned out to be too strong. This buff will be reduced in the patch to match the actual rewards of Feats.
