Zeek moves to the inactive roster of GoNext Esports and prepares to leave the team

The Valorant offseason will bring changes not only to tier-1 teams but also to representatives of the tier-2 Challengers league. One of such teams is the Greek collective GoNext Esports, which, since the beginning of this month, has already lost its fourth player from the main roster.

It should be recalled that at the beginning of September 2024, the team began parting ways with its players. First, chiwa, who had been a substitute, returned to Acend, and the next day, two players, PROFEK and BULD, moved to the inactive roster. Yesterday, alexiiik also followed suit. As a result, only two players remained on the GoNext Esports roster, but today it was announced that another player is leaving.

Zeek's Departure from the Team

On his official social media, Polish player Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt also announced today that he is preparing to leave the team. He stated that his contract is still active, but the organization has allowed him to explore new opportunities.

Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt had been a part of GoNext Esports for a year, from September 2023 to today. During this time, he secured two significant victories for the team in both stages of the VALORANT Challengers 2024 East: Surge Split 1 and Split 2. This allowed the club to qualify for the main tier-2 tournament, VCT Ascension EMEA 2024, but the team's performance ended with a 7-8th place finish, which prevented the club from joining the VCT partnership program.

It is worth noting that zeek is not just an ordinary player on the tier-2 scene. In 2021, while part of Acend, he became the winner of Valorant Champions 2021 and claimed the first world champion title. Although he is currently competing in the tier-2 Challengers league, his experience remains invaluable. Therefore, it can be assumed that he will quickly find a new team.
