The new sniper rifle Outlaw, which appeared in the game just one day ago, has already caused a lot of noise around itself. The situation has reached a point where the organizers of one of the regional Challengers league tournaments have banned its use in the upcoming event.
Let's recall that there has been a lot of discussion around Outlaw in the last day. The Valorant community complains that the rifle is too strong and needs to be urgently weakened. Other players are even creating a petition asking Riot Games to completely remove the new weapon from the game. While there is no reaction from the developers yet, tournament organizers decided to set their own restrictions. Thus, representatives of Valorant Challengers DACH: Evolution have amended the rules for the upcoming tournament and banned the use of Outlaw.

In the official Twitter account of the partners Project V, a message appeared about the changes in the rules. They report that in the open and closed qualifiers for the upcoming first split Valorant Challengers 2024 DACH: Evolution Split 1, the use of Outlaw is prohibited. If players notice the use of the new weapon, the match should be stopped, and the team that used the sniper rifle will be penalized with a defeat.
It is still unknown why such a ban was imposed, perhaps it is due to the incredible strength of Outlaw, or perhaps the organizers want to conduct the qualifiers on equal terms, and some players may not have fully mastered it yet. We will wait for official comments from Riot Games and the final decision regarding the rifle.
