One of the most renowned professional Valorant players and inactive member of Bleed Esports, Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker, is returning to practice after prolonged health issues. The esports player hinted at this himself on his official Twitter account.
Collaboration with Bleed Esports and transition to inactive status
Yay joined the team in September 2023, a few months after Bleed won VCT 2023: Ascension Pacific and secured a slot in the Valorant partner league for the 2024/2025 season. Following this, the team updated its Valorant roster to be ready to compete against the strongest teams, with Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker being the main addition. However, after the start of the current competitive season, the team's performance was not very successful. The team failed in VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, finishing in 10th-11th place, and also placed 9th-11th in VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1. It was after the last tournament that Yay transitioned to inactive status due to health problems and did not participate in subsequent tournaments.
The long-awaited return
Although nothing was heard from the star for a long time, yesterday he made his presence known. On his official Twitter account, Yay posted a short video of his Valorant match. In it, Yay used a Sheriff pistol to kill five opponents and scored a beautiful ace. Although there were no further statements, this video serves as a kind of signal. Firstly, it indicates that the professional has overcome his health issues and can now return to training in Valorant, and secondly, it shows that Yay is still in good form, as he easily dominates his opponents after a long break.

Valorant community reaction
In the comments on this video, Yay's followers were thrilled. They are happy that their idol has finally recovered and is ready to return to professional play. Interestingly, in addition to fans, other professional players are also congratulating him, as Yay is considered one of the most well-known esports players by many of his colleagues. The official Valorant account also commented on the video, stating, "He doesn't need a reload," hinting at the fact that Yay didn't miss a single shot during his ace.
