Tarik suggested increasing the number of matches held in large arenas at VALORANT Champions 2024

Currently, Korea is hosting VALORANT Champions 2024, and Sentinels streamer Tarik has commented on the lack of atmosphere at the tournament. He noted that most matches are held in studios, making it difficult to convey the excitement of the event to viewers.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Tarik said:

Since we're at 'Champions,' I think there should be more matches held in large arenas. Although there are physical limitations, too many matches are held in studios, which affects the atmosphere and doesn't reach the viewers.

The tournament is taking place at Coex Artium, a 750-seat concert hall, except for the group stage and the final three days of the playoffs, which will be held at the 15,000-seat INSPIRE Arena. Some Reddit users have supported Tarik's opinion, pointing to the repetitive music used during the tournament, which diminishes the event's atmosphere.

Valorant is currently facing issues such as low viewer ratings at Tier 2 levels and team disbandments in regions like Brazil and Northern Europe. Professional players have called for a return to a more equitable system where all teams can participate in international tournaments. Riot Games is expected to take steps to address these issues next year.
