Our historical VCT run would not have been possible without the dedication behind the scenes of @ApothVal, @BcJFPS, @ReformedVal, @icyjl and @zecK_VAL. You helped bring NA a World Championship, something that we and our fans will never forget.

In a video released on their Twitter account, the organization representatives discussed the current VCT season and the team's future plans. The primary focus was on parting ways with Addison "zecK" Gorzeck, who served as the substitute coach, and with four substitute players: Vincent "Apotheon" Le, Brendan "BcJ" Jensen, Jeffrey "Reformed" Lu, Jacob "icy" Lange.
Of all the now-former players, only BcJ played in Evil Geniuses' main roster in 2023. Serving as a substitute, he participated in VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo where the team underperformed and finished in the 9-16th place, and later helped the team secure the 3rd place in the VCT 2023: Americas League regional event.
Serving as a reserve team, the players constantly trained and honed their skills to be ready to assist the main roster at any moment. BcJ detailed the journey of the substitute players in his Twitter account.

We quickly improved both in-game and outside of the server, ultimately forming very close bonds with each other that will last for many years.
Brendan also shared the journey of each player of the reserve team, their achievements, and relationships within the team. You can read more about this in his informative post.

All players, along with the coach who are leaving EG, stated that they are open to new opportunities for the upcoming 2024 year and ready to adapt to potential teams. It can be assumed that thanks to the experience gained in "Geniuses" and the popularity due to the recent victory at the championship, the former players will find new homes in the near future.
