Rumors: G2 Esports will Return to Valorant

Recently, rumors have been circulating online that G2 Esports is making a comeback to Valorant and plans to sign former players of The Guard team. These rumors are supported by leaked correspondence of the players and their hints on social media.

Former The Guard Roster

  • Trent "trent" Cairns
  • Jonah "JonahP" Pulice
  • Michael "neT" Bernet
  • Ian "tex" Botsch
  • Jacob "valyn" Batio
  • Josh "JoshRT" Lee (Head Coach)

It should be recalled that The Guard organization secured a slot in the VCT Americas League 24-25 after winning the VCL Ascension: Americas 2023, but failed to prepare the documents and organization in compliance with the requirements of Riot Games, so they were left without a place in the league for the next year and it was announced that no team will be promoted to the highest league this year.

However, due to a large wave of criticism from the Valorant community, Riot Games changed its mind and allowed the players of The Guard team to find a new organization so that they could participate in the league. Read more about it in our material.

For G2 Esports, this is a great opportunity to enter the highest league, as they previously left this discipline due to poor results of their team, which failed to qualify for the VCT Americas League.
