After the end of the last season, Korean team Gen.G Esports made a large-scale reshuffle in the Valorant roster. However, the beginning of 2025 was not very successful for the team, which means that the changes were not effective, and today the team has begun to partially cancel them.
Farewell to Yoman
This morning, a message appeared on the organization's official social media. In it, the team representatives state that after discussions, it was decided to end the cooperation between the team and the player Chae “yoman” Young-mun by mutual agreement.
Today, by mutual agreement, we have terminated the contract with Yoman from our Gen.G Valorant division. We thank Yoman for his dedication to the team and wish him all the best for the future.

Yoman's career in Gen.G
As mentioned above, the player joined Gen.G only in October 2024, after the team sold three players from its main roster. In the past, yoman played on the tier-2 stage, but despite this, he managed to show good results. The club won the 4th place: 1st place at TEN VALORANT Asia Invitational 2024, 1-2 place at Gwangju Esports Series Asia 2024, 2nd place at SOOP VALORANT League 2024. However, after the start of the official competitive season, the team did not achieve the desired results. At VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff, Gen.G took 3rd place, which is why it lost the opportunity to qualify for the last Masters Bangkok 2025.
Most likely, it was the performance that was the main reason for the changes in the lineup, and therefore it is possible that the farewell to yoman will not be the last. Keep following our portal to learn more about the changes on the Valorant professional scene.
