On November 10th, the annual event Golden Joysticks Awards 2023 concluded, where the game Valorant was represented in several categories and successfully secured a victory in one of them.
The "Golden Joysticks Awards" is an annual event, celebrating its 41st anniversary this year. The event selects the best games in various genres and nominations. This year, Valorant received nominations in two categories: "Still Playing Award" and "Best Streaming Game". It's important to note that last year, the shooter from Riot Games was not included in any of the possible categories.
Valorant won in the category of "Best Streaming Game", which is not surprising considering its constant presence among the top ten most popular games on the Twitch platform. As for the "Still Playing Award", where Valorant's main competitor, CS2, was also present, the victory went to No Man's Sky.
Even though Valorant only received one of the two possible awards, this result is still better than last year’s, when the shooter from Riot Games was not nominated in any of the available categories.
