The Valorant anti-cheat system has started to block users who use tracker apps

The use of third-party programs has never been encouraged by Valorant developers, but previously, getting banned for them was very difficult if they weren't cheats. However, recently, players have begun to report getting their accounts banned for using a tracker app that monitors their own progress.

This was reported by a user on the X platform (formerly Twitter) with the username Sam improvement_26. He claimed that a player reached out to him, opting to remain anonymous, and disclosed that they had received a ban on their account.

According to Sam, the anonymous user was using a tracker app in the background while playing Valorant. As a result, their account was banned for several days. Comments from users speculated that it might have been an app displaying player names, ranks, and more. Most likely, the player was banned because this particular app was not approved by the developers, causing Vanguard, the anti-cheat system, to flag it as third-party software.

It's worth noting that these are isolated cases, but on Chinese Valorant servers, there is already a list of prohibited programs. Riot Games may extend this trend to other regions in the future, leading to a wave of bans for players.
