The organizations Moist Moguls and Shopify Rebellion introduced a unified roster for Valorant

Yesterday, the renowned esports organization Shopify Rebellion made an intriguing announcement on its Twitter account. The leadership of the organization revealed that they are joining forces with Moist Moguls to field a combined roster for Valorant under the name Moist x Shopify Rebellion, or MxS for the upcoming competitive season.

Representatives of Shopify Rebellion stated that both organizations share a common goal, making it beneficial for them to navigate the Valorant competitive scene together.

This partnership evolved organically from off-season conversations between Moist Esports and Shopify Rebellion. As discussions continued, our organizations discovered that our goals and visions aligned, and that we would be stronger working together.

Announced MxS roster

  • Brock “brawk” Somerhalder
  • Xavier “flyuh” Carlson
  • Adam “mada” Pampuch
  • Brady “thief” Dever
  • Victor “v1c” Truong
  • Jared “mac” Schneider (coach)
  • Chad “Oderus” Miller (assistant coach)

The unified roster includes 3 players and an assistant coach from Moist Moguls, as well as 2 players and the head coach from Shopify Rebellion.

It's worth noting that before their merger, both teams didn't show the best results in the previous VCT 2023 season. Moist Moguls secured the 3rd position at VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Challenger Playoffs, preventing the team from reaching the significant Ascension event in the American region. Meanwhile, Shopify Rebellion had an even poorer performance, ranking 7-8th in the same tournament. Interestingly, with the merger, the clubs also combined their spots in the American league, implying that there will be one additional spot available in the North American Challengers League in the future.
