The long-awaited eighth episode brought a new sniper rifle, Outlaw, to Valorant, which the community considers too powerful. But not only regular players are talking about it, recently several esports athletes also agreed with the general opinion and shared their thoughts on the new rifle.
One of the professional players whose opinion is worth listening to is the current member of M80 - GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestio. The thing is, he plays the role of a sniper in the team and often uses Operator, so he can be considered an expert on sniper rifles. He stated that Outlaw needs to be weakened, but not so much that it becomes weaker than Marshall. The best option would be to raise its price to 2,600-2,800 credits.
Outlaw is broken, and it needs to be removed from the game. Or weaken it, and it will become worse than Marshall, so what's the point of it being in the game? Maybe just raise its price to 2600-2800.
Brandon "Jaf" Jafarpouran of Formulation Gaming commented that the main problem with the new rifle is its incredible accuracy. The issue is that when shooting with Outlaw, the second bullet always flies as accurately as the first. This makes the rifle incredibly powerful, and the second shot needs to be reworked.
The only problem with Outlaw is that you literally cannot be inaccurate when you spam as fast as you can, it always returns to the place from where you shot, and there is no window that you can miss. This makes the sniper very unbalanced.
It should be noted that even tournament organizers have noticed the unfair power of Outlaw. Yesterday, representatives of Valorant Challengers DACH announced that the use of the new sniper rifle was officially banned in both open and closed qualifiers for the first split.
Considering the feedback from the community, the reaction of professional players, and even tournament organizers, it can be confidently assumed that Outlaw will be weakened soon. We are looking forward to official information from Riot Games.
