Yesterday, the American organization Evil Geniuses announced a new clothing line on their Twitter account, dedicated to their national Valorant team's victory at the world championship. This decision came after the failure of the first clothing line, but despite the new design, fans remained unsatisfied.
It's noteworthy that two months ago, the organization released its own clothing line. It featured players from their Valorant team, who won the main tournament in the discipline - Valorant Champions 2023. Following this, the organization was flooded with criticism, fans mocked the clothing for its nonsensical design, and stated that only a fool would buy it. Read more about this in our article.
After the announcement of the new merch, fans began mocking the organization anew, but now not just for the quality and design of the clothing. Fans hate EG for their attitude towards players and declare they will boycott the new line to prevent the management from profiting off the Valorant players' images.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Please find someone decent to work on this merch.
We hope that you can find another way of financial recovery other than exploiting the personas and names of players you don't care about.
Absolutely dead merch, no one will buy. I have turned from one EG fan into one of millions of haters of your crappy company.
Separately, we want to note that fans are probably not so much dissatisfied with the quality of the clothing as they are generally contemptuous of the organization because of constant scandals. Recall that after their team's victory at the world championship, information appeared online from a well-known esports journalist. He reports that Evil Geniuses keep their players in "contractual prison" and refuse other teams. Read more about this in our article.
As with the first clothing line, the organization in no way comments on or responds to the fans' dissatisfaction. But considering the current situation around Evil Geniuses, one can assume that it faces serious changes, including the loss of most of its fans.
