After their victory at the world championship, Evil Geniuses released their own merch, which was mocked by the Valorant community

On August 26th, the Valorant Champions 2023 concluded, in the grand finals of which Evil Geniuses won against Paper Rex after 4 intense maps. Basking in the glory of their new world champion title, the "Geniuses" organization released new merch, after which social media erupted in a wave of mockery towards EG.

On the t-shirts and hoodies, all the EG players are depicted along with their coach Christine "potter" Chi. The new merch design is being criticized, with commentators noting that the graphic designer who developed it was paid only $2, and if he was paid an additional $2, he would produce something better.

The first to react to the new t-shirt and hoodie design was a professional Apex Legends player for the Sentinels team - Rkn. He stated that the new merch is the worst he has seen in a long time.

Professional Rocket League player Slumpii asked the players if they didn't believe in their victory and designed the new apparel in just 2 minutes? Hinting that the new merch was designed before the grand finals and EG didn’t have faith in their victory so they didn’t put much thought into it.

Another user noted that he would like this merch, but it's very bad and cited two North American organizations, Cloud9 and 100Thieves, as examples. Pointing out that even though they haven’t won a world championship, their design is much better. This means they put a lot of effort into the items that fans will purchase, indicating respect for the fans.

These are just some of the more than a hundred negative reviews, but so far, the organization hasn’t given an official response to fans' criticism. It should be noted that the price for the t-shirt is $34.99, and the hoodie is priced at $50.00, but it's doubtful many would be eager to buy clothing with such a poor design, even among the team's fans.
