The last member of JD Gaming's coaching staff leaves the team

The past competitive season was not very successful for JD Gaming's partner team, resulting in some changes to the Valorant roster. However, the changes did not end there, and today it was announced that the last member of the coaching staff, Li "Billyo" Xinyu, is leaving the team.

Farewell to the Coach

A large post was published today on the organization’s official Twitter account. In it, the club's management stated that after lengthy discussions, both parties decided to end their cooperation. The players thanked the coach for his contribution to the team and wished him all the best in the future.

After friendly conversations and negotiations between both sides, JDG Valorant's assistant coach, Li "Billyo" Xinyu, officially left the team today. Over the past year since the team's formation, we have overcome challenges and grown together. On the battlefield, you demonstrated unique tactical knowledge, and off the battlefield, you were both a mentor and a friend, like an older brother to the players. Although parting is inevitable, we are grateful to Coach Billyo for his companionship and dedication to the JDG Valorant division. We look forward to future meetings on the battlefield soon.

The Coach’s Contribution to the Team

Billyo joined the Chinese club at the end of 2023. During this time, he served as head coach and later became an assistant coach. However, JD Gaming did not achieve significant results during his coaching tenure. The team finished 7-9th at VCT 2024: China Kickoff, 11th at VCT 2024: China Stage 1, and 5-6th at VCT 2024: China Stage 2. These results did not allow the team to qualify for any major international tournament, leading to the conclusion that the season was a failure.
