The Japanese collective IGZIST bids farewell to the captain of their Valorant squad

Today, sad news has come for all fans of the Japanese tier-2 club IGZIST. Following a disappointing performance at Japan: Split 1, the team has announced that they are parting ways with their in-game leader, known by the nickname Xui.

The club representatives shared this information on their official Twitter account. The players thanked their former captain and stated that it was he who led the team to the top eight teams in Japan.

We are announcing that Xui is leaving our VALORANT division. As an IGL, he made a significant contribution to the team's ranking in the top 8 in Japan. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Xui joined the team on September 1, 2023. During his leadership, the team failed at the Japanese qualifications for Red Bull Home Ground #4. After that, the club successfully won at the open qualifiers for VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 1, but the tournament itself ended in failure and an exit in 8th place. This was the main reason for the captain's departure from his team.
