The first day of the AfreecaTV VALORANT LEAGUE has come to an end. In the second match opening the day, FULL SENSE and DRX faced off. The encounter concluded with a victory for the Korean team, with a score of 2-1.
Despite DRX being the undeniable favorites, the Thai team made their opponent sweat. A clean 2-0 victory was expected, but that did not happen. The first map became a shocking turn of events for all viewers, as the FULL SENSE team quickly seized control and ended the first half of the Haven map in their favor. In the second half, the Thais did not give their opponents time to recover and dominated with a superior score of 13-7.
On the second map, Ascent, the Korean team couldn't hold off the opponent's attack and faltered in the first half with a score of 9-3. It seemed like DRX was on the verge of losing on their own choice, but that did not happen. The match ended in overtime, where FULL SENSE couldn't overcome their opponent and suffered a defeat with a score of 16-14.
The third and deciding map was Bind. Despite some difficulties in the first half of the match for DRX, they easily came back, not allowing their opponents a single winning round in the second half of the map.
Thanks to this victory, DRX advances to the winners' bracket, where Sentinels await them, having also secured a victory in today's match. Meanwhile, FULL SENSE drops to the losers' bracket and will soon face Paper Rex.
