Tex shares his impressions after losing to Gen.G

On May 24, during the VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai, the second day of gameplay took place, where the Leviatán team faced off against Gen.G. In the matchup, Gen.G emerged victorious with a score of 2-1, securing the upper hand on the competitive stage.

However, despite the defeat, a player named Tex from Leviatán gave an interview to Esports.gg, where he shared his impressions of his first participation in an international tournament.

Tex, who has been actively involved in the North American competitive scene for a long time, is performing for the first time at such a large-scale event. His team played against Gen.G in the opening match, where Tex demonstrated consistent gameplay as a sentinel, despite the loss with a score of 1-2.

When asked about the differences between international and national competitions, Tex emphasized the significant difference in the level of opponents from different regions, noting that playing against stronger teams is the main distinction for him.

The "Masters Shanghai" tournament attracted many players who already have experience performing at tier 2 in the North American scene in the 2023 season. The player expressed joy in seeing players from this tier finding their way into global competitions.

He also highlighted the changes in team rosters, noting that while it's sad that "old players like NRG are no longer there", it demonstrates the evolution of the game.

Responding to a question about the impact of moving from America to China on preparation for the match against Gen.G, Tex noted the difference in time zones but rejected possible excuses, acknowledging that his team played better.

After a tough battle that ended in defeat, Tex expressed the opinion that success requires focusing on "seizing the moment", expressing hope for two consecutive victories to advance to the playoffs, the first of which they achieved by defeating T1 with a score of 2-0.
