Singapore's top duelist returns - Jinggg to play in Paper Rex's starting lineup at Masters Shanghai

Paper Rex, a powerhouse from the Pacific region, has rightfully earned a spot in the current Masters Shanghai after their victory in the VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1. As the tournament approaches, the official Valorant Champions Tour account released a statement concerning the team and its key player, Wang "Jinggg" Jie, who is welcomed back to active competition.

It's worth noting that Wang "Jinggg" Jie had stepped down into an inactive roster after the competitive season in 2023, due to mandatory military service in Singapore. This caused him to miss the first two tournaments of 2024, but he has since returned to the main lineup.

Upon his return, Wang helped lead his team to victory in VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1, thereby securing their participation in the current tournament. While Jinggg was absent from the starting lineup, he was replaced by Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha, who helped the team secure third place at Masters Madrid. The team's performance, even with a substitute, has been quite impressive.

Paper Rex's first match at Masters Shanghai will take place in the playoff stage, so keep an eye on Singapore's top performers to see if the return of this key player will bring the desired results and a tournament victory.
