Sentinels signs two new players for the upcoming VCT Season

The American organization Sentinels has signed two new players to its Valorant roster for the upcoming VCT season, as announced on their social media platforms. The new additions to the team are Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro and Mouhamed "johnqt" Ouarid.

Updated Sentinels Roster

The main roster of the Sentinels team now boasts seven players. It is likely that the organization will say goodbye to someone before the start of the new season. The most probable departure could be Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen since he held the role of a captain. The new player Mouhamed "johnqt" Ouarid is taking over this position. It is also worth mentioning that in the announcement video, Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro is stated to have joined the team as a substitute player.

Zellsis' Career

Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro is a veteran of the American esports scene in Valorant. He began his career on November 24, 2020, and has played for clubs such as Version1, Sentinels, and Cloud9. This marks his second stint with Sentinels; his first time was during the last qualifiers for Valorant Champions 2022, which the team did not qualify for, leading him to leave afterward. Zellsis joined the club as a substitute, a fact announced with some sarcasm in the announcement video. This could imply a temporary status, hinting at the possibility of becoming a main player in the future.

Johnqt’s Career

Mouhamed "johnqt" Ouarid is a talented IGL who almost led his team from the Challengers league to the top league of the American region on his first try. His previous team, M80, lost to The Guard in the grand finals of VCL Ascension: Americas 2023. Given such an impressive performance, it is likely that Sentinels representatives noticed him and decided to sign him, especially since his contract with his previous team had ended, making him a free agent.
