After the conclusion of the first major tournament, Masters Madrid, in 2024, the regular season will start in all competitive Valorant regions. We have already covered EMEA, Americas, and Pacific, so it's time to reveal all the information about the new China region.
Like every major tournament, VCT 2024: China Stage 1 will be divided into two stages, group and playoffs. The group stage will start on April 5th, during which 11 partner teams, divided into two groups, Alpha and Omega, will compete against each other in a single round-robin format. All matches will be played to three wins. As a result of the group stage, the 3 strongest teams from each will secure a place in the playoffs.
The winners from each group go directly to the upper bracket semi-finals, while the teams that finish in 2nd and 3rd places move on to the knockout round. During the playoff stage, participants will compete in a Hybrid-Elimination format, all matches will be played to 3 wins, and the lower bracket final and grand final up to 5 wins.

Note that VCT 2024: China Stage 1 will be held in a LAN format at Valo Arena, located in Shanghai. The 11 partner teams will compete for 3 invitations to Masters Shanghai and 3 China Points, necessary for qualifying for the World Championship.
