The first regional qualifiers of 2025, Kickoff, have concluded, and we now know the teams that will head to Masters Bangkok 2025. Ten days before the tournament begins, the organizers have revealed the team seeding and event format, which we will cover below.

Tournament Format

Organizers continue to gradually move away from the standard double-elimination group stage, and now almost all major events are played in the Swiss system. Masters Bangkok 2025 is no exception. From February 20 to 24, the eight participating teams will compete in a Swiss System format. All matches will be played as bo3, with teams securing two wins advancing to the playoffs, while those suffering two losses will be eliminated from the tournament.

In the playoff stage, which will take place from February 27 to March 2, the top four teams will battle in a Double-Elimination format for the championship title. All matches will be played as bo3, except for the lower bracket final and grand final, which will be bo5.

Team Seeding

Since the teams are not divided into groups, there is no traditional seeding. However, the organizers have already unveiled the match schedule and the opening-round matchups in the Swiss system:

• G2 vs. Trace Esports
• EDward Gaming vs. Team Liquid
• Team Vitality vs. T1
• DRX vs. Sentinels

The exact match start times have not yet been announced and will be revealed closer to the tournament's kickoff.

Masters Bangkok 2025 will take place from February 20 to March 2, 2025, at UOB Live. Eight teams, two from each competitive region that secured top placements in the Kickoff qualifiers, will compete for a $500,000 prize pool and the title of the first Masters champion of 2025.
