Rumors: M80 plans to re-sign their inactive roster with the addition of a professional CS:GO player

Recently, rumors surfaced online suggesting that the American esports organization M80 is planning to renew their inactive players for the upcoming VCT 2024 season. The updated roster will include the existing members as well as former CS:GO professional player, Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella. The news was reported by the information channel ValorINTEL, citing journalist Max Katz.

We remind you that the M80 team was formed in March 2023. Since its inception, the team had an impressive season for newcomers, winning several qualifying stages and securing a spot in the significant Valorant Challengers Ascension 2023: Americas event. There, the team took second place, losing the opportunity to receive an invitation to the regional season in America for the next two years. Following this, the organization moved most of the players to an inactive roster, from which the team's IGL - johnqt transferred to Sentinels, as we reported in our article.

Current M80 roster

  • Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic
  • GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestio (inactive)
  • Marc-Andre "NiSMO" Tayar (inactive)
  • Alexander "Zander" Dituri (inactive)
  • GUNTER (coach)

Star rookie nitr0

As we mentioned earlier, according to rumors, the new member of M80 will be Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella, a former professional CS:GO player. He recently ended his career in the Valve shooter, finishing 9-12th place at the Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023 with Team Liquid. Although Nicholas can't be considered a newcomer to Valorant, as the 27-year-old player competed in the professional scene of the Riot Games discipline from August 14, 2020, to July 12, 2021. While part of 100Thieves, nitr0 successfully competed in various qualifying tournaments in the American region. His most significant achievement was securing the 3-4th place at VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin.

We note that these are just rumors, although Nicholas himself stated that he is not opposed to returning to Valorant after CS:GO. And the M80 organization is one of the best options because it is most likely going to renew its roster for the coming year. Stay tuned to our portal to find out whether the rumors are dispelled or confirmed.
