The conclusion of Valorant Champions 2023 marked the end of the entire competitive season of Valorant Champions Tour 2023. That's why developers from Riot Games analyzed all the events during the season and published a list of players/teams/coaches who were the best this year.
MVP Americas Players
In the American region, the undisputed best player was aspas from LOUD. Despite the fact that the Brazilian team finished the last world championship in 3rd place, during the season, LOUD showcased their prowess. The star player aspas is often called one of the best duelists in the world. He received the MVP title with a total value of 127 points, more than doubling his main competitors.
MVP EMEA Players
In the European season, the situation was a bit more complex. Everyone guessed that the best player would be from the Fnatic team, which dominated international tournaments throughout the year, but exactly who remained uncertain. Riot Games cleared all doubts by awarding the Turkish player Alfajer the MVP title for the region in 2023, with a total value of 53 points. Interestingly, but not surprisingly, his main rivals for the title are other members of Fnatic - Leo and Derke.
MVP Pacific Players
In the Asia-Pacific region, the best player was recognized as something from Paper Rex. Despite good results during the regular season, the player faced challenges in the last world championship. Initially, he faced visa denial issues, putting Paper Rex in a difficult situation. Nevertheless, the player eventually made it to the USA and delivered an impressive performance, leading the team to a silver championship at the tournament. As a result, something was awarded the MVP title in the region with a total of 107 points, more than doubling the competitors.
VCT Americas Coach of the Year
The best coach in the American region is undoubtedly Christine "potter" Chi, who coaches Evil Geniuses. She received the MVP title mainly due to the team's victory at Valorant Champions 2023, while the "Geniuses'" performance during the season was rather average. Nevertheless, she became the first female coach to lead a team to a world championship title, making history in Valorant.
VCT EMEA Coach of the Year
In Europe, as with the players, the situation was quite clear. Fnatic dominated the entire season in international tournaments, and many professional players believe that the "Oranges" are the only strong team in the EMEA region. The team achieved its fame thanks to guidance from Jacob “Mini” Harris, who became the MVP among other regional coaches in 2023.
VCT Pacific Coach of the Year
In the Pacific region, the choice of the best coach was also fairly obvious. It was Alexandre "alecks" Sallé from Paper Rex, who scored 151 points in total value. Thanks to him, the team ranked 1st among all teams in its region and performed well at the world championship, taking 2nd place.
