Valorant Episode 7 Act 2: Changes, Launch Date, and New Content

Valorant Episode 7 Act 2: Changes, Launch Date, and New Content

Very soon, specifically on August 29th, the current act will come to an end, and a new one will begin. In this article, our editorial team at Bo3.gg has gathered all the necessary information to briefly inform you about the changes coming with the new act and the new content awaiting players.

As with all other acts, upon launching the new one, players will lose their rank. To regain it, players will have to play one ranked match, after which most will likely get back their original rank, except those above Immortal 1.

Agent Balancing

Balancing for more than half of the agents is what we can expect in the second act of the seventh season. The changes aim to reduce the impact of agent abilities on match outcomes (most agents' ultimates will have a higher cost). The most significant changes will affect agents Jett, Skye, and Astra. Players and professionals are not pleased with the changes to agent Jett, more about which can be found here.

New Map and Mappool Changes

With the launch of the new act, a new map will be introduced, leading to changes in the mappool for players. The new competitive mappool will include this new map and the updated Breeze, while Fracture and Pearl will be removed. Information about the updated Breeze, changes to the mappool, and professional players' reactions can be found in our article. For more information about the new map, click here.

New Skin Bundle

With the new act's launch, a new skin bundle "Imperium" will be available in the shop, which is designed in a Chinese style and dedicated to the mythical dragon. The entire bundle will cost 8,700 VP. More details about the weapons these skins will cover and other items in the bundle can be found in our article.

New Battle Pass

No act has been without a pass, and this one will be no exception. A battle pass will be introduced in the game and will last until the end of the act, roughly two months. Detailed information about the content and cost of the pass can be found in our article.

Premier mode release

After several months of beta testing, the Premier mode will officially launch in the new act. This mode will be a significant step for players aspiring to make a mark in Valorant's esports scene, as it will become part of the Valorant Champions Tour 2024. The mode will be open to all, so even if you're not aiming for esports, you can still gather a team of five and enjoy more competitive matches against teams at your level. More details about this mode can be found in our other article.
