A new patch is always a major event in Valorant, and today, details about it have surfaced online. Riot Games shared the patch notes for the upcoming 10.05 update on their official social media channels, along with an in-depth explanation of the long-awaited ranked rating rollback system.
Official Patch Notes
Before diving into the details, let's look at how Riot addressed the community and what they revealed about the patch.
Hey everyone. Kenny here again with a small but powerful Patch 10.05. First things first—ranked rating rollbacks are here! Check out the notes below for more details, and follow our social channels for a short video showing how these changes will appear in your game client. Aside from RR rollbacks, you’ll also notice some minor agent fixes. That’s all from me. GL HF GG.

Ranked Rating Rollback System
The most significant update coming with Patch 10.05 is the long-awaited ranked rating rollback system, which compensates players for losing RR due to cheaters. Here’s how it works:
- If you lost a ranked match against a cheater and Riot’s anti-cheat confirms their guilt, you will receive an official message within a week indicating how much RR will be refunded.
- If you lost RR in a match against a confirmed cheater within the past week, you are eligible for an RR refund.
- You will receive a pop-up notification with the exact amount of RR to be restored.
- To claim the refunded RR, you must complete one competitive match.
- After completing this match, the restored RR will be displayed on your end-of-game summary screen, regardless of whether you won or lost. The refund will still be added to your total RR.
It’s important to note that RR rollbacks are only available within the current Act, and the number of possible refunds is limited. The exact limit per Act remains unknown.
