Record VCT 2024 Masters Madrid: Sentinels vs LOUD gather over 1 million viewers

On March 21st, the first round of the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid playoffs took place, where the match between Sentinels and LOUD gathered the highest simultaneous number of viewers, surpassing 1 million people.

In the first round of the bracket, held on Day 6, matches between Gen.G and Paper Rex, as well as Sentinels and LOUD, took place, with Gen.G and Sentinels securing victories, leading the champions of the Pacific and Americas regions to advance to the upper bracket final.

According to Esports Charts, the maximum simultaneous number of viewers in the Gen.G vs Paper Rex match was 845 thousand people, while the Sentinels vs LOUD match attracted 1,062,108 people. The match between SEN and LOUD became the first in this tournament to attract over 1 million viewers, surpassing the record of last year's VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo.

The match between LOUD and Sentinels also took place in the final of the VCT Americas 2024 Kickoff, attracting over 820 thousand viewers. Presumably, the reason for attracting over 1 million viewers this time was that it was at the Masters, and also because the match went into overtime on the third map.

Masters Madrid is experiencing tremendous excitement due to the return of Sentinels and the rise of Gen.G. The grand final of the upper bracket between these two teams will determine the champion of the first international tournament in 2024.
