The integration of the in-game Premier mode into the Valorant esports scene continues. The game developers recently shared new details for players who plan to enter esports in the future.
Recall that after the introduction of the new mode in the game client, Riot Games officially announced that in the future, Premier will be the only way for players to enter the Challengers league of contenders. As we move into 2024, the VALORANT Premier system is preparing to become the entry point for teams aspiring to advance to Challengers and VCT. This change brings us closer to our ultimate goal: to enable talented players to rise to the Champions Tour. We recognize that this will be the first of many phased steps, and the Premier Episode 8 season will be a transitional stage. In the EMEA region at the beginning of 2024, VRCs and Premier will both promote teams to Challengers, but in the future, our long-term mission is to promote teams to Challengers exclusively through Premier.
