The biggest event of 2023 for the entire Valorant community has ended, marking the conclusion of the competitive VCT 2023 season. The World Championship brought us a host of positive emotions and exciting matches, and Riot Games decided to show a short documentary about how Valorant Champions 2023 was organized and conducted.
On the official YouTube channel of the company, a video titled "Behind the Scenes: Bringing Valorant Champions LA to Life" was released. The documentary tells about how the main event in the discipline was organized, what happened during the tournament itself. Among the excerpts, you can see a cosplay scene for event visitors, comments from Riot employees, such as the director of global esports events, as well as the process of creating music clips.
The organizers also published data on the sales of team skins, which were available for purchase during the World Championship. This year's sales figures are impressive, with a total of $33,000,000 worth of team sets sold, which is more than the sum of sales from the World Championships in 2021 and 2022. Half of this money was divided among all the participating teams, so by calculations, each club received more than $1,000,000. This is equivalent to the main prize for winning the World Championship.
Recall that Valorant Champions 2023 took place from August 6 to 26 in Los Angeles. The 16 strongest teams from various corners of the world fought for the title of the strongest team and a large prize pool. As a result, the American team Evil Geniuses became the champions.
