Anna Donlon, the executive producer of Valorant, has shared that the development of the mobile version of the game is ongoing, but a release should not be expected this year.
Information about the development of the mobile version of Valorant, closed testing, and some leaked materials have been circulating online for some time. However, this time, Anna Donlon provided an official comment on the game, which more thoroughly explained the future project to players.
According to her, players should expect more announcements and news about the game in 2024, but they should not anticipate the release to happen this year. She also noted that there have not been significant changes after the closed beta test, and those that have occurred were likely leaked from closed sources.
We've been openly discussing exploring other platforms (mobile and consoles). We're working and researching whether we can bring the substantial gaming experience to other platforms, considering various control schemes and the like. There haven't been any significant updates, except, um, I think some of them might have leaked from some closed game tests. So, I really hope we can provide some really serious updates on this matter this year.
If you're looking forward to the release of Valorant Mobile, you shouldn't be disappointed that the release is unlikely to happen this year. The game will probably be opened for beta testing to all interested parties, just as it was with the main version of the game on PC.
