On March 28th, Riot Games removed the option for players to purchase the in-game currency VP in Valorant at the most favorable rate for them, which negatively impacted ordinary users.
Players from Ukraine and other fans of the Valorant game, who used this country's region to buy the in-game currency VP at a favorable rate, faced an unpleasant issue on March 28th. When visiting the donation section, they noticed that it was no longer possible to purchase VP using the national currency of Ukraine.
At the time of publishing the article, players whose account is linked to the Ukraine region can only purchase the in-game currency with euros or use a special code. However, each of these options is more expensive, as now, when buying the largest set, the price is 3.77 UAH per unit, compared to 6.03 UAH before.
Riot Games has not officially commented on the situation yet, and the support responds as if this decision is not yet deliberate and possibly donations in hryvnia may appear in the future.
