NAVI one step closer to departure from VCT 2023: EMEA Last Chance Qualifier

Yesterday, in the quarterfinals of the upper bracket at VCT 2023: EMEA Last Chance Qualifier, Natus Vincere clashed with the Spanish team KOI. As a result of two maps, "Born to Win" suffered a defeat and dropped into the lower bracket.

The first encounter took place on Split, which was KOI's pick. The first half of the game was even, with teams trading rounds without a significant advantage on either side, the side switch occurred at a 6-6 score. The second half of the game was completely under the control of the Spaniards from KOI. They took 7 rounds in a row, leaving NAVI no chance for rehabilitation. The match ended with a score of 13-6 in favor of KOI.

The teams then moved on to NAVI's map - Lotus and if the first map felt more or less evenly contested, this time Natus Vincere didn't stand a chance. In the first half of the game, KOI completely dominated, taking 9 rounds and giving NAVI only 3. After the side switch, the situation from the first map repeated, ANGE1 and his team didn't take a single round, instead KOI took 4, thanks to which they secured the victory. The match ended with a score of 13-3 in favor of KOI.

As a result, KOI advance to the upper bracket final where they will play against Giants for the first slot in the tournament grand final today. Natus Vincere, in turn, fall into the lower bracket where they will fight against Karmine Corp for the right to continue their performance at VCT 2023: EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.

NAVI representatives are not commenting on their defeat, but instead they are taking a positive approach to it. The organization posted a picture on their Twitter account allegedly depicting the VCT LCQ EMEA tournament table. On it, Natus Vincere are coming out of the match against KOI as winners, and later win the tournament and receive an invitation to Valorant Champions 2023.
