Today, American professional gamer Kayla "flowerful" Horton announced sad news for all her fans. In her official social networks, she revealed that she is ending her journey in the competitive Valorant scene.
In Kayla's official Twitter account, a large message appeared in which the esports athlete shared her future plans with her followers. She stated that she has decided not to continue competing in the professional Valorant scene, and instead, will focus on her education. Flowerful thanked all the colleagues she met along the way and said she would fondly remember this time.
Hello everyone, I want to make a post to inform you that I am stepping back from participating in competitive Valorant and focusing on continuing my education. I started college in 2017, so the time is coming when my degree will be useless for what I want to achieve. This made me decide that it's time to focus on my future career. I am so grateful for all the opportunities I've had, the people I've met, the friends I've found, and the places I've traveled. I will cherish all the memories I've made for the rest of my life. Thank you and love you all.
Kayla "flowerful" Horton began her journey in Valorant in March 2021. After spending time in various teams, she joined Shopify Rebellion GC, where she remained until the end of her career. During her time under the organization's banner, Kayla repeatedly became the runner-up in many official tournaments, with her main achievement being the second place at VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship. In 2023, the team had a less successful season, resulting in the organization disbanding the roster.
