"The Valorant industry is ruthless" - Vapen leaves the Valorant discipline with loud comments

Today it became known that another well-known media personality is ending their journey in Valorant. The famous American coach Erik "vapen" Sutton saddened his fans with the news that he is completely leaving the discipline.

In his official Twitter account, vapen not only announced the end of his career but also expressed his opinion about the competitive Valorant scene and the chances for newcomers to enter it. As the coach reports, everyone knows that the industry is merciless, and success in it depends on your connections and nepotism, and it's very hard to break through to the top and become a professional, and most will never achieve this.

You can't hide anything, this industry is cruel. Since nepotism and politics dictate many decisions at the organizational level, it is very difficult to make it. I want all of you to realize that you have less than a 0.1% chance of becoming a professional player. It's hard to hear, but it's the honest truth. To do this, you need to make sure that you are doing everything more effectively than your competitors. If you really want this life, you have to give your all.

In his last competitive season in 2023, Erik "vapen" Sutton served as a coach for OREsports. Under his guidance, the club took 3-4th place at the Sean Gares Showdown. However, the main events from Riot Games ended in failure, including 12th place at the first stage of VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1, and ninth place at the second stage of the qualifiers.

Vapen also thanked all the players and coaches he met along his way. He wished everyone to correctly assess their abilities, but to set a goal for themselves and go for it no matter what.
