MLT Esports invites skyeSG to take on the role of head coach

On January 25th, the Indian team MLT Esports announced the signing of their new Valorant roster, a recruitment that had been announced well before the beginning of 2024. The organization did not limit itself to five members, thus assembling a roster of six players. This time, MLT Esports delights their fans with the new addition of Felipe "skyeSG" Lim, who will assume the position of head coach.

In 2023, MLT Esports started the year with a third-place finish in the open qualifiers of VALORANT Challengers 2023: South Asia Split 1, subsequently earning them a spot in the main event. However, during the tournament, the Indian team encountered issues and challenges for which they were unprepared. As a result, the team finished at the bottom in both splits of VALORANT Challengers 2023: South Asia.

Despite his short career as a player, Felipe "skyeSG" Lim decided to change his career path and become an analyst for the game Valorant. For several years, he contributed to the success of the Orangutan team, which has recently shown significant improvement in its results. This time, the former esports athlete will take on the role of head coach for the new MLT Esports lineup.

MLT Esports, along with their new coach skyeSG, will compete in VALORANT Challengers 2024: South Asia Split 1 - Cup 1, starting on February 1st.
