Team allocations for VCT: EMEA Stage 1 have been revealed. In group Alpha, Team Vitality, FNATIC, and Team Heretics will face each other. In Omega, Team Liquid, FUT Esports, and BBL Esports will compete. This information was shared by the Sheep Esports portal.
The distribution of teams into groups was based on the results of the VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff. This created a balance of "weaker" and "stronger" teams based on the results of the past tournament.
According to the Sheep Esports portal, a new draw will be conducted for Stage 2. Unlike the last season, where groups remained the same throughout the year and each team played against every other team, there is now the possibility that teams might not meet each other within the same season.
The group stage of VCT: EMEA Stage 1 will begin after the conclusion of the Masters Bangkok and will be held in a single round-robin format. After this, the top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where they will fight for three slots at Masters Toronto.
