Today, the first major tournament of 2025 - Masters Bangkok - has started, where teams are fighting for a large prize pool. There were two fights within the Swiss system, and we will tell you about the results below.

EDward Gaming vs. Team Liquid

In the first match, we were waiting for the fight between the current world champions EDward Gaming and the tournament outsiders Team Liquid. The latter quite unexpectedly entered the current tournament, and in this match, they were clearly a weak team. The result turned out to be natural, and although the fight on the first map was very intense and it went to overtime, EDward Gaming eventually won with a score of 2-0.

DRX vs. Sentinels

The second match was expected to be a more intense battle between the equal teams DRX and Sentinels, but it turned out to be quite strange. DRX destroyed their opponents with a score of 13-3 in the first map without a chance. On the second map, the fight was very intense, but in the end, DRX again won with a score of 13-10 and became the winner of the match.

As a result of the first game day, EDward Gaming and DRX earned one victory each. In turn, Team Liquid and Sentinels lost their matches. All teams remain in the tournament and will wait for their next opponents.

Masters Bangkok 2025 will take place from February 20 to March 2 in LAN format at UOB Live. Eight partner teams, two from each region, will compete for a prize pool of $500,000, VCT Points needed to qualify for the World Championship, and the prestigious championship title.
