Mandatory Cup #3: A major Valorant tournament kicks off today

Very soon, the large European Valorant tournament, Mandatory Cup #3, will kick off. The tournament is organized by MandatoryGG and ZQSD and is part of the official OFF//SEASON 2023 series.

Mandatory Cup #3 features the participation of 12 teams, including 11 invited teams and 1 team that qualified through open qualifiers. The tournament will take place online from December 13 to December 19. As always, it will be divided into group and playoff stages.

  • Group Stage (December 13): Four groups with three teams each in a double round-robin format. One team from each group advances to the playoffs. All matches are played in a Bo2 format.
  • Playoffs (December 14-19): Four teams in a single-elimination format. Semifinals are in Bo3 format, and the final is in Bo5 format.
 
 

Mandatory Cup #3 is expected to feature the participation of the strongest teams from Europe. Among the tournament favorites, we can mention MandatoryGG, Acend, and Solary. MandatoryGG is a team from Ukraine and the current champion of Mandatory Cup #2. Acend is a former champion team from VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavík. Solary is a French team that consistently performs in the top 10 of the European scene. The tournament also expects the participation of other strong teams such as Fire Flux Esports, Dsyre, UCAM Esports Club, and SAW.

The prize pool for Mandatory Cup #3 is set at 15 thousand euros. The tournament winner will receive 5 thousand euros, and the finalist will receive 3 thousand euros. The tournament will be broadcasted on the Twitch channel of MandatoryGG.
