Major outage in Valorant: Millions of users worldwide facing login issues

On June 18 and 19, a serious outage occurred in Valorant, a game developed by Riot Games, leading to widespread login issues. Players around the world reported connection errors during gameplay, causing the game client to forcefully shut down. These errors were accompanied by codes “VAN 84” and “VAN 68”, indicating problems with the Riot Vanguard security software.

The outage affected not only Valorant but also another popular Riot Games title, League of Legends. Representatives from the company stated on the official Valorant page on X and the Riot Games website that they are working to resolve the login issues. Given the global scale of the outage, users are expecting a prompt resolution.

The issue gained significant attention on platforms like Reddit and X, with a surge of disgruntled players expressing their dissatisfaction and reporting issues over the course of two days. According to the developers, the server problems have now been resolved.
