Literally Pay to Win - Skins from the new Mystbloom set allow seeing through textures

With the 8.08 update in Valorant, among all other changes, a new set of skins called Mystbloom was added. However, immediately after its release, players noticed that the skins have a certain bug that allows you to see through textures, giving you an advantage over opponents.

Numerous videos are circulating on the internet showing players unhappy with the legal wallhack that becomes available when using skins from the Mystbloom set. The issue is that each weapon is styled with a floral theme, with petals as their base. If you look at the weapon near a wall or other obstacle and there's an opponent behind it, you can see their outline thanks to the flower on the weapon, thus gaining an advantage.

While the Valorant community mostly understands that this is a bug and it appeared in the game accidentally, many are already calling the Mystbloom set the first pay to win collection. In competitive gaming circles, this means that players who buy the skins have an advantage and a better chance of winning than those who only use the free ones. However, in response to all the accusations and complaints, the leader of Valorant's cosmetic department, Preeti Khanolkar, assured that it's just a bug that will be removed from the game soon.

It is currently unknown when exactly the legal wallhack will be fixed, but considering the imbalance it brings to the game, it's likely to happen in the coming days. We will keep an eye on the official information from Riot Games.
