"Just not cross-platform" - Dataminers find another mention of Valorant on gaming consoles

Rumors that Valorant will actually be released on gaming consoles in 2024 are appearing more frequently online. Recently, a well-known dataminer found more mentions of game controllers in the game's code, which again stirred the community.

We remind you that recently, we already described rumors about testing Valorant on XBOX and PlayStation consoles starting in 2024. Read more about it in our material. Last night, the well-known dataminer Valorant Leaks News revealed another mention of a game controller in Valorant. A line of code was found in the game files, corresponding to a gamepad disconnecting, "controller disconnected." This news once again confirmed the imminent release of the game on gaming consoles, but as always, it caused negativity from the Valorant community.

In the comments under this news, the dataminer's readers again began to build their theories, and most of them were negative. Players are convinced that when Valrorant is released on consoles, a cross-platform mode will inevitably be introduced. This means that console users will have aim-assist support, which will help them keep their sights at the enemy's head level. This aspect is what the regular players dislike the most, as it gives console users an advantage.

Note that these are just assumptions of the community, and it's possible that when Valorant is released, there won't be a cross-platform mode, and players will be divided depending on the platform. We will wait for official information from Riot Games, and the actual release of the game on gaming consoles.
