DRX - The first participant of Masters Bangkok from the Pacific region

The regional qualifiers of the VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff is coming to an end, and there are only 2 important matches left. The battle between T1 and DRX has just ended as part of the top grid final, which will determine the first participant of the grand final, as well as the first team from the Pacific region to go to Masters Bangkok.

Tense battle between T1 and DRX

In the final of the top grid, we were waiting for the battle between DRX and T1. Both teams have undergone significant changes since the end of the 2024 season, so this tournament was their first significant test. The match turned out to be very interesting, as on the first map Lotus, T1 defeated their opponents with a score of 13-11 on their map, which gives the team confidence. But on the second map, Haven, DRX recovered, and in the additional rounds, they earned a hard-fought victory with a score of 15-13. The outcome of the match was determined on Fracture, and it went rather strangely. DRX dominated their opponents throughout the first half, but in the second T1, they began to rehabilitate. As a result, DRX won the match with a score of 13-10.

As a result of the match, DRX advances to the grand finals and becomes the first team in their region to receive a slot at Masters Bangkok, regardless of how the grand finals end on February 9. T1, in turn, falls to the bottom of the bracket, where they will meet the winner of the Gen.G/Talon Esports pair tomorrow for the right to reach the grand final and take revenge.

VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff will take place from June 18 to November 9 in LAN format at the Sangam Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea. Twenty-five VCT affiliate teams are competing for two spots at the Masters Bangkok and the all-important Pacific Points, which are key to qualifying for the World Championships.
