On August 21, the Japanese team NORTHEPTION, known for its activities in Japan, announced the creation of an academic division for Valorant. As part of this project, the team is looking for 7 new members: 6 players and 1 coach.

Previously, Riot Games announced changes to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 format. Starting from the new season, partner teams will be able to create academic divisions in Challengers, which has prompted another Japanese team to form a new roster.

Key requirements for candidates:

• Achievement of Immortal rank in the current or previous season.
• Participation only on PC, console players are not accepted.
• Age of at least 12 (parental consent required for minors).
• Ability to participate in training for around 6 hours a day.
• Capability to meet the team's and sponsors' requirements.
• Preferably the ability to show face (can be discussed).
• Awareness of responsibility and avoidance of behavior that damages the team's and sponsors' reputation.
• No past violations of rules or cheating in games (including other titles).
• Possession of the necessary equipment and conditions for comfortable gameplay.
• Active involvement in media activities, video content creation, and other professional duties.

Selection schedule: Preliminary selection will start in early September and run until the end of October. Only those who pass the preliminary selection will be able to participate.

• Responses will be sent only to candidates who successfully pass the preliminary selection.
• Changes to the content and schedule of the selection may occur due to official tournaments and other factors.
• Candidates already affiliated with any organizations must obtain permission to participate before applying.
