IGZIST unveils new 7-Member coaching staff for Valorant

The Japanese esports team IGZIST announced changes to its Valorant coaching staff on August 18th, ahead of the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 3 Advance Stage Phase 1.

TAKI has been appointed as the new head coach, with EROC joining as the assistant coach. Additionally, gainpe and Mahato have been appointed as analysts. This update brings the total number of coaches in the team to seven, including the existing specialists poem, issin, and Ambox.

TAKI, now 30 years old, previously founded the team First Gaming, which produced players like Anthem, bazz, and TORANECO. Until recently, he coached SETOUCHI SPARKS, a team that qualified for the VCJ 2024 Split 2 from Premier. He is also known for his posts on the platform note, where he shares unique coaching theories and gameplay concepts.

EROC, aged 28, began his career in 2016 on the competitive CS scene. He transitioned to Valorant in 2020, where he played for teams like Sunsister, Updraft, and Evaas an IGL. After leaving HIT gaming in May of last year, he disappeared from the competitive scene but has now returned as a coach after a year and a half.

The revamped IGZIST roster will compete in the VCJ 2024 Split 3 Advance Stage Phase 1, starting today. Their first match will be against Delight.
