The third day of the international tournament VCT 2024: Masters Madrid has come to an end. The Korean team Gen.G defeated the Chinese team EDward Gaming with a score of 2:1.
The first map chosen was Icebox by Gen.G, where EDward Gaming had a poor record. However, the Chinese club surprised with their preparation and took the first match 13-8, not giving any chance to their opponents. Despite the good start on the first map, EDG couldn't maintain their lead throughout the match.
The second map was Split, chosen by EDward Gaming this time, as they had been preparing it since the kickoff. The first half favored Gen.G, leading 6-4, and after the second pistol round, the situation changed drastically. T3xture delivered an incredible clutch, 1v4, after which EDG clearly tilted and started to concede to their opponents throughout the match.

The last third map was Breeze, which set everything in its place. After the previous match, EDward Gaming still couldn't get going, and it seemed like they were completely absent from the match. Thus, Gen.G secured their third victory, closing the match with a score of 13-6.
