Gen.G Esports secured a confident victory in the upper bracket final against Sentinels and became the first team to advance to the grand final of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Madrid.
Gen.G Esports made history as for the first time since its Valorant team's inception, it managed to reach the final of such an international tournament, defeating the top teams from other regions along the way.
Although the match ended with a score of 2:1 in maps, both maps won by Gen.G Esports were easy for them, with one ending in a 13:5 and the other in a 13:3 victory. With such impressive results, the team rightfully earned their place in the grand final, while Sentinels fall to the lower bracket.
The VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Madrid is taking place from March 14 to 24. The top eight teams from around the world (two from each region) are competing for a share of the $500,000 prize pool and 3 points necessary for qualification to the world championship.
