The regular season in each competitive region is drawing to a close, with only the most exciting competitions remaining. Yesterday marked the penultimate game day of the fourth competitive week of EMEA League Stage 2, during which two matches took place, the results of which we will discuss below.
In the first encounter, Team Heretics met KOI. Heretics have dominated throughout the season, while their opponents are at the very bottom of the rankings table. Essentially, it was a match between the favorite and the underdog, and it ended predictably. Team Heretics secured another victory with scores on three maps: Icebox 10-13, Bind 13-9, and Haven 13-10, which puts them in first place in the tournament table with a score of 8-2.
In the second match, Fnatic faced Team Liquid. Despite some early season issues, the orange team managed to redeem themselves, as they proved in the match against Team Liquid. Thanks to two easy maps, Icebox 13-2 and Haven 13-9, Fnatic overcame their opponents and made it into the tournament playoffs.
VCT 2024 EMEA League Stage 2 runs from June 18 to July 20, 2024. Eleven partner teams are competing for three direct invitations to VALORANT Champions 2024 and EMEA Points necessary for championship entry.
