DubsteP bids darewell to fans and ends professional career in Valorant

Recently, the Philippine Valorant scene said goodbye to one of its finest talents. The renowned professional player Jayvee "DubsteP" Paguirigan announced on his official social media yesterday that he is ending his career in Valorant after four years of competition.

Why DubsteP decided to leave the competitive scene

In his Twitter account, the Filipino player posted a lengthy message addressed to his followers. Jayvee mentioned that he had been contemplating this decision for a while, and the conclusion of the current competitive season likely influenced his choice to make the announcement now. He stated that the four years of his Valorant career and nine years overall were incredibly interesting, but over time, he grew somewhat tired. It has become challenging for him to train and hone his skills every day, so he feels it's time to rest.

I've thought about it for a long time and decided to leave the competitive VALORANT scene. I think a four-year run wasn’t so bad. I had amazing teammates throughout my career, I placed 5-8th in the first-ever VCT Champions, and I’ll be truly forever grateful for that. I've been competing for nine consecutive years and I can say that I’m a bit tired of the daily grind.
